Ta – daaaa!!

January 31, 2009

Everything arrived and I’m now in the print bidness baybee. Check it all out in my etsy shop. There’s a good price range from aceos and 6×4 at $6 and $7.50 to 8×10 at $15.

I also painted this today. I have the strangest dreams…

That's me riding a whale and being a pirate. As you do...

Sneak peek at new aceos

January 29, 2009

For those who haven’t heard of them before an aceo (art cards, editions and originals) are 3.5″ by 2.5″ art cards. They’re also known as ATC’s which stands for artist trading cards. You can buy or trade them, stick them in a book, stick them on your wall, put them in your wallet – whatever really. They tend to be reasonable priced and are a great way to expand your collection of artists without making your bank manager cry.

Red Dwarf is coming back!!

January 28, 2009

My all time favourite TV show is coming back on the air after 10 years. I just love red dwarf, the humour, the crappy effects, the ludicrous accents…..  Pure genius. Check out all the info on the BBC.

Fallout 3

January 28, 2009

Ok so this isn’t a review blog, it’s a crafty blog. Thing is, I’m a little bit of a geek and tend to play a lot of games and get excited about a lot of gadgets – it’s going to happen. Skip on past if I lose you and comment if you’re a fellow playah!

Fallout 3 is my new gaming obsession, it’s fun, challenging and occasionally bloody. It is addictive however, there are side quests or you can just wander about on the map for aggggeees randomly shooting things. It’s set in a post apocalyptic, dystopian universe where the bombs went off and the survivors are left to fend for themselves. Gritty stuff huh? Brilliant comic relief comes in the form of 40’s propaganda imagery littered throughout the game.

In list form (gotta love lists):

What I like:

  • completely open game play
  • graphic style is lovely
  • best companions ever
  • challenging but you can save whenever so it never becomes frustrating
  • I can play as a pink haired girl – nuff said
  • The mix of 1st person and action role-play combat systems works perfectly and stops fighting becoming repetitive.

What I don’t like:

  • I find it hard to see very well when it’s dark, you can fast forward to morning though
  • erm…
  • well…
  • I’ll have to get back to you on this, I’m still in the lust stage

January 26, 2009

Prints, envelopes and sleeves are all on their way to me! It’s very exciting 🙂

So within a week or two my etsy shop will be having a drastic face lift. Until then feel free to check out my flickr (which is another new obsession for me).

I won't ride - soon to be available print!

Corset envy

January 23, 2009

I’m a big fan of burlesque, dressing up and feeling sexy. What do you get when you add them together? Corsets!!

Here’s two that I’ve been eyeing up for a while. I love the image insert on both, it’s not something I’ve seen on a lot of corsets and it’s utterly brilliant. I think I’ll have to start saving my pennies for the skeleton one – it’s just too pretty to resist…

I can haz art?

January 21, 2009

So you’ll be seeing a big change to my etsy shop soon. I’m going to be moving on to art and art prints.

I’ll be starting off with 10″ by 8″ and aceos. They’ll most likely be on lustre archival paper but I’m still going through the process of finding the right print company. Here’s a little sample of some of the things to come!
